Other Australian Forensic Organisations

• The National Institute for Forensic Science (NIFS)

NIFS is an organisation which is funded by each of the state Police Commissioners and assists with the organisation of Forensic activities within Australia.

• Senior Managers of Australian and New Zealand Forensic Laboratories (SMANZFL)
  
  A group consisting of all of the Senior Managers of the major Australian and New Zealand forensic laboratories which meets on a regular basis to discuss national issues that affect forensic science.  This group also supports the activities of various Specialist Advisory Groups (SAG's) that report on issues that affect each of the forensic fields.
